Scale can unlock the mind: Q&A with Nandan Nilekani
We recently had a fireside chat with Nandan Nilekani, Co-Founder and Chairman of EkStep Foundation, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board, Infosys. We spoke to him about his experiences of working on large-scale projects such as Aadhaar, India Stack, UPI and DIKSHA.
He talks about the importance of pattern recognition across his various projects, and recollects learnings that led to the articulation of Societal Platform Thinking. As he stresses on the importance of building agile and responsive organisations, he says, “it’s about retaining degrees of freedom in making sure that different things are possible, and not specifically get into saying this is the solution or that is a solution. Because to me, those solutions are best designed and implemented by those people who are closest to the beneficiary or to the society or to the community.”
